Jagatsinghpur: A woman allegedly hacked her husband to death at Sadeipur village under Balikuda police limits in Jagatsinghpur district late on Wednesday night.
According to reports, a dispute was prevailing between accused Kabita Samal and her husband Sushant Samal over the latter’s consumption of liquor. She claimed that her husband used to thrash her after consuming liquor.
Enraged over the matter, the woman attacked him with an axe around 2 am. Sushant sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.
Acting on a complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother, the Balikuda police have detained Kabita for questioning and started an investigation into the incident.
