Angul: A dhaba owner allegedly raped a woman doctor at her residence in Chhendipada area of Angul district while he had gone there for delivering food.
As per a police complaint lodged by the victim, who works as a doctor at the Chhendipada Community Health Centre, accused Sukant Behera came to her government quarters on June 28 night for delivering food.
The 38-year-old unmarried woman, who resides with her brother, was alone at that time as her sibling was not present at the house. Behera allegedly raped the doctor and threatened her not to disclose the matter.
Acting on the FIR filed by the woman, Chhendipada police investigated into the incident and arrested the accused.
