Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a married woman in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday afternoon attempted to end her life after allegedly killing a minor boy.
The accused woman identified as Tanusree Paramanik strangled a five-year-old boy to death at Kolathia under Khandagiri police limits.
The woman reportedly having psychiatric issues invited the deceased to play with her daughter and then strangled him to death. After committing the crime, the woman tried hang herself with a saree to end her life. However, she was rescued and rushed to AIIMS hospital here.
She has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.
“She killed my son after inviting him to her house to play. I don’t know why she committed this heinous crime,” Sameer Patra, father of the deceased boy said.
Tanusree was staying at a rented house with her husband and have a five-year-old daughter too. Her husband is working with AIIMS hospital here.
