Unlock 2.0: Khurda Admn issues fresh guidelines
Khurda: After the state Government on Tuesday released new guidelines under Unlock-2.0 that will remain force from July 1 to July 31, Collector of Khurda district, which has reported a rise in COVID-19 positive cases in the recent past, has imposed a few restrictions for the entire Khurda sub-division with immediate effect.
“Opening of different shops, daily markets and market complexes after the weekend shutdown may result in large social gatherings/ congregations at various shops. This will lead to further contamination and spreading of COVID-19 in various areas of the district. Hence, the restrictions have been imposed in the interest and spread of general public,” said a communique issued by the District Collector.
The restrictions will remain in force till July 15.
Here’re the restrictions:
(1) All the shops, market complexes except medicine shops, petrol pumps and cooking gas are hereby shut down from 7 PM to 5 AM everyday
(2) However, shops are allowed to open from 5 AM to 7 PM everyday (except weekend shutdown period) adhering to social distancing norms.
(3) Shop owners will be liable for criminal proceeding under Section-188 of IPC (45 of 1860), if there will be any violation of social distancing norms inside and outside their shop premises.
Worth mentioning, Khurda is among the 10 districts that come under Zone-1. The state Government yesterday announced that weekend shutdown will continue in these 10 districts in the month of July.
