Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo on Tuesday said a high-level meeting with all Vice-Chancellors of the State has been convened on June 12 to find a palpable solution.

During the virtual meeting, various important issues including education during the Covid-19 induced lockdown and examinations will be discussed and suggestions of the Vice-Chancellors will be sought.

“After the meeting with the Vice-Chancellors, a meeting with the principals of all colleges will be held. Only after proper consultation and discussion, appropriate decision will be taken on the conduct of examinations,” said Sahoo.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has constituted a 14-member Expert Committee to suggest criteria for evaluation of Plus 2 students’ answer papers.

The committee will suggest well-defined alternative objective criteria for assessment of the Regular and Ex-Regular examines of annual H.S. Examination, 2021 whose exams were earlier cancelled in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
