Bhubaneswar: Two more leaders of ruling BJD on Wednesday tested positive for novel coronavirus. Samples of Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) Chairperson and BJD General Secretary Srimayee Mishra tested positive for the virus.
In a tweet, Mishra informed today she has contracted the virus infection and her condition is stable.
Another BJD leader and Odisha Small Industries Corporation Chairperson Chinmoy Kumar Sahoo also tested positive for the virus.
So far, seven ruling party leaders including one Minister and four legislators have been infected with the virus.
On August 17, Rural Development, Labour & Employees’ State Insurance Minister Susanta Singh tested positive for COVID-19.
Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar Parida and Salepur MLA Prasant Behera also tested positive for the virus.
