Thunderstorm likely in many districts during next 48 hrs

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with rain is likely to occur in many districts of Odisha during the next 48 hours, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted on Friday and issued an Yellow Warning in this regard.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore today, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, and Dhenkanal tomorrow, it added.

On the other hand, light thunderstorm with lightning and light rain likely to affect some parts of the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, and Sambalpur between 3 pm and 6 pm today, the Meteorological Centre forecasted and advised people of the areas to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.
