Bhubaneswar: A Sub-inspector of Government Railway Police (GRP) here has tested positive for Coronavirus, sources said.
The cop was on frontline duty in the fight against COVID-19. He was immediately sent on isolation after his swab reports came positive yesterday. Besides, all staff of the police station have been asked to remain under home quarantine. Their swab samples will be collected for COVID-19 test.
Meanwhile, the police station has been sanitised by fire service personnel. People have been asked not to visit the police station for a temporary period.
It is pertinent to mention here that social activist Aditya Dash’s death is being investigated by the GRP police with several people visiting the police station in connection with the incident in last few days.
