Bhubaneswar: In view of growing demand for resumption of passenger trains in the State, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to restart service of another MEMU train between Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak.
The MEMU train between Bhubaneswar and Bhadrak will resume with effect from April 7, 2021.
As per the schedule, 68408 Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak MEMU train will leave Bhubaneswar at 5.55 PM with effect from April 7 and will reach Bhadrak at 9.15 PM. In the return direction, 68407 Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar MEMU will depart Bhadrak at 6.15 AM with effect from April 8 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar Railway Station at 9.50 AM.
The train will have stoppages at Vani Vihar, Mancheswar, Patia, Bhubaneswar New, Barang, Gopalpur Balikuda, Kathajori PH, Cuttack, Kendrapara Road, Manguli Chowdwar, Nergundi, Kapilas Road, Jhadeswar, Byree, Barithengada, Dhanmandal, Haridaspur, New Garh Madhupur, Jenapur, Brahmani, Jakhapura, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Korai, Baitarani Road, Dulakhapatna, Manjuri Road, Kenduapada, Kapali Road, and Baudpur between Bhubaneswar & Bhadrak from both the directions.
On Tuesday, the ECoR had announced to resume MEMU train services between Bhubaneswar and Kendujhargarh and between Puri and Angul. Besides, three special trains between Hatia and Puri, Sambalpur and Puri and between Paradeep and Puri will be operated for convenience of passengers.
These apart, services of a few local passenger/MEMU trains and some express trains will be announced shortly as per the convenient and keeping in view the Covid situation and protocols.
However, the services of 08447/08448 Bhubaneswar-Koraput-Bhubaneswar special train via Sambalpur-Titilagarh and Rayagada will be cancelled with effect from April 19 from Bhubaneswar and with effect from April 20 from Koraput.
