Kendrapada: Family of deceased Rudra Narayan Behuria of Parimukundapur village under Rajkanika block in Kendrapada district was only processing the tragic loss of the child when the Matric results came up and they found out he had topped.
Like all his friends, Rudra was waiting for the Matric results that were declared on July 29. But little did he know he won’t survive to see the day.
Just three days before the results declaration, Rudra was devoured by a crocodile while he was bathing in a nearby river with his friends. Hours after, his severed body parts were recovered from the water body. The family of the minor boy was just mourning him and the results again broke them down. His devastated father said that he aspired to go out of town for further studies in a reputed college.
Rudra was a student of Lakshmi Varaha Model Higher Secondary School. Out of 53 students in the school who had appeared for the Class 10 exam this year, he stood out with 80.6% marks. He was the only student from the school to have secured ‘A’ grade in the examination.
