The applications will be invited through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal from the seeking Higher Secondary Schools for increase of seats for the academic session 2021-22.

The move to increase seats came after the recently-passed Class 10 students in the State expressed apprehension of scarcity of seats in Plus 2 colleges citing high pass percentage in the annual high school certificate examinations (HSC).

Earlier on June 28, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash had assured smooth and hassle-free enrolment at higher secondary schools and technical institutions amid apprehension of scarcity of seats among the Class 10 students.
