Orissa High Court grants conditional bail to Akash Pathak in Tata Motors job fraud case

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Friday granted conditional bail to Akash Pathak, son of tainted IFS officer Abhay Pathak, in Tata Motors job fraud case registered at Baidynathpur Police station in Ganjam.

However, Akash will continue to remain in jail as he is yet to secure bail in few more cases, sources said.

Earlier on June 18, suspended IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak, who was arrested in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) and cheating cases, was released from the Jharpada Jail after being in jail for around six months.

The father-son duo was arrested on November 27 by the Vigilance on charges of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets amounting to Rs 9.35 crore.
