State’s COVID tally tops 3700 on record daily spike

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s COVID-19 tally crossed 3700 mark after 225 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours. This is for the first time that the state has reported a single-day spike of over 200 positive cases. A highest of 92 positive cases have been reported from Cuttack district, followed by 20 cases from Ganjam, 19 cases from Khurda and 13 cases from Jagatsinghpur district.
Of the new COVID-19 positive cases, cases have been reported from quarantine centres and are local contact cases, informed I&PR Health and Family Welfare Department on Saturday.
Earlier, two lady doctors of Narla Community Health Centre (CHC) had tested positive for COVID-19.
