Bhubaneswar: With fresh 1,255 COVID-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours, Odisha on Wednesday crossed 25,000-mark in the cure count. The number of cured patients in the State now stands at 25,737.
According to the information provided by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Ganjam reported the highest recoveries at 485 followed by Khurdha (125), Sundargarh (122), Sambalpur (107), Puri (75), Mayurbhanj (43) and Cuttack (40).
Earlier in the day, Odisha registered 1,337 new COVID-19 cases. The total number of positive cases now stands at 39,018 while the death toll increased to 225 with nine more casualties today.
Notably, Odisha has been registering 1000-plus recoveries for the last three consecutive days. While the State reported 1,119 recoveries on Monday, the cure count stood at record 1,409 on Tuesday.
