Odisha reports 1528 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, tally mounts to 47,455

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 1,528 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the total positive cases to 47,455.

Of the new cases, 948 were detected from quarantine centres, while 580 were local contacts.

According to information provided by the Information and Public Relations department, Ganjam reported the highest 233 cases followed by Khurda (218), Sambalpur (168), Sundargarh (126) and Dhenkanal (107).

The total recoveries stand at 31,784, while active case count is 15,334.

A total of 19,083 samples were tested in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking the cumulative number of tests to 6,69,266.
