Odisha Matric offline exam in July, results soon: BSE

Cuttack: Amid the ongoing controversy over the alleged faulty evaluation of 2021 matriculation marks, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the upcoming offline exam.

As per the previous announcement, the students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them, can undertake the matriculation exam in offline mode.

As per BSE officials, the matriculation exam for Class 10 students will be held in offline mode in July. The registration or form fill-up process will start from July 5.

BSE President Ramashis Hazra said that the Covid-19 situation is gradually improving in the State. We are planning to complete the form fill up process and get ready to conduct the exam in offline mode as soon as possible.

“The form fill up process will begin from July 5 and we also want to conduct the offline exam by July taking into account the Covid situation as well,” said BSE President, Ramashis Hazra.

Hazra further informed that once the examination is conducted in offline mode, every step will be taken for early publication of results.

“CHSE has also clarified that once the results are published early the students will get the required chance to complete all the necessary formalities for Plus II admission,” Hazra added.

The BSE President further clarified that there has been no irregularities in the evaluation and publication of matriculation results. The results were processed through a mathematical formula.

On reports that some schools in the State had submitted inflated or exaggerated marks, the BSE president said that such schools have been identified and appropriate action will be taken against them in subsequent phases.

“We also appeal the students to keep studying and we assure that we will publish the results so that they can take admissions in Plus II,” Hazra added.
