Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Sunday notified a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre transferring several top officials to new positions.
Senior IAS officer of 1998 cadre, Suresh Vashishth has been appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
Bhupendra Poonia, a 2008 batch IAS has been made the new Managing Director, IPICOL in place of Jawale Nitin Bhanudas (2003 IAS), approved for inter-cadre deputation to Maharashtra. Poonia will however continue to disburse additional charges of ACS, Industries department and ED, IDCO.
Former Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and Officer on Special Duty to GA and PG Dept, Prem Chandra Chaudhary has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Western Odisha Development Council.
Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha has been given charge as State Project Director OSEPA. He will also remain in additional charge of Member Secretary, Mo School.
