Bhubaneswar: Following sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Ganjam district, the Berhampur Municipal Corporation on Thursday cancelled home quarantine option for those returning from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala to the town.
“All people returning from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala will be kept in institutional quarantine mandatorily. Home quarantine option will not be made available,” an official order of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation said.
It may be noted here that in Ganjam district the number of case are increasing. About 20,000 have returned to the district so far and more are expected by train within a couple of days.
