MoU signed between ISRO & VSSUT for Space Innovation Centre

Sambalpur: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was on Tuesday signed online between Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Bangalore and Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla here for setting up of ‘Veer Surendra Sai Space Innovation Centre’ (VSSSIC).

VSSUT Vice Chancellor Prof. Atal Chaudhuri signed the MoU on behalf of the university while P V Venkitakrishnan, Director, CBPO did the same on behalf of ISRO.

Under the MoU, ISRO will provide a one-time grant in aid of Rs 50 lakh as seed money to create laboratory facilities for the conduct of research and development work in the area of sounding rocket, launch vehicles and satellites.

ISRO will also provide training and technical support to the students of VSSUT and help in launching from their facilities.
