Bhadrak: Body of a man was found hanging from a tree in a forest near Kantipuradia village in Basudevpur area of Bhadrak district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Kailash Majhi (38).
According to reports, Majhi, who was working at a textile mill in Bengaluru, had returned home after the COVID-19 lockdown. A duel had taken place yesterday between Majhi and his younger brother & uncle.
He went to the market last evening but didn’t return, following which his family members searched for him at various places but in vain. However, he was found hanging from a tree in the forest this morning.
On the other hand, the deceased’s wife has alleged that he was murdered. Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem and started an investigation into the incident.
