Lockdown 5.0: Odisha issues fresh guidelines

Bhubaneswar:  As the COVID-19 lockdown ended on Sunday, the Odisha Government has issued guidelines of Unlock-1 that began on Monday.

Briefing mediapersons, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy on Monday said the number of positive cases in the state will increase in coming days with huge number of migrants returning to the state through various means of communication. As many as 4,26,504 people have returned to the state so far through flights, trains and buses, he informed.

In view of the possible rise in positive cases, the state Government has issued guidelines of Unlock-1, said the Chief Secretary.

Services to be restricted:

-Schools, Colleges & all educational institutions to remain shut till July 31.

Cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools & shopping malls will remain closed till June 30.

-Political and social gatherings and entry of people inside religious institutions will be restricted till June 30.

  Services to be allowed: 

-Hotels with 30 % guests

-Restaurants with only takeaway facilities

-Hospitals, medicines shops and other essential services allowed by  the Centre in its Unlock-1 guidelines

 The Chief Secretary said persons aged above 65 years, children aged below 10 years, persons with co-morbidities and pregnant women have been strictly asked to remain indoors because of their vulnerability.
