Bhubaneswar: The last footage of Aditya Dash captured by a CCTV camera shows him walking alone from his residence to the Railway station of Lingaraj Temple Road. The investigation, so far, reveals that he might have been hit by the Purushottam Express.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) has recorded statements of 28 known associates of the deceased which includes his family and people who worked with him in his NGO People For Seva (PFS).
The CCTV footage shows Aditya starting from his home at 7 pm on July 6. His body was found near the tracks the next morning.
His autopsy report had revealed that a severe head injury resulted in his death which could have been caused by a speeding train.
On July 8, a hand-written letter in Odia was found which was suspected to be Aditya’s suicide note. It was filled with messages for his family, friends and people who maintained the old age home with him.
On July 13, the purported suicide note, his previous handwriting, signature, etc. has been sent to the State Forensic Science Laboratory at Rasulgarh. A seven-member team of the handwriting bureau of the State Forensic Science Laboratory will be examining the genuineness of the suicide note, sources said.
