Dhenkanal: A woman was trampled to death right in the middle of her village in Dhenkanal. The incident was reported from Madhabalua village under Sarangi range.
The woman has been identified as Kaushalya Sahoo.
According to reports, the woman was sweeping her courtyard when all of a sudden the pachyderm attacked her and trampled her to death.
The incident took place right in the middle of the village. People of the area are now scared that the elephant has entered the village and has started attacking them. The villagers staged a demonstration demanding compensation. However, the forest officials arrived and pacified the villagers and assured them that they will take measures so that no such incidents happens further.
