Ganjam frontline corona warrior & journalist dies of Covid in Bhubaneswar

Ganjam: A journalist and frontline Corona warrior died due to COVID-19 in Odisha. As per reports, the journalist was undergoing treatment at KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar for past few days.
Sources said the journalist Priyadarshi Patnaik was a resident of Hinjilicut area in Ganjam district. Patnaik was working as a news contributor for regional Odia daily Samaja which recently completed 100 years of its foundation.
Sources said, Patnaik was unmarried and had cardiac problems. He was frontline Covid warrior and was reporting in the hotposts in Ganjam district.
Sources, said the body of Patnaik will not be taken to Ganjam district and the last rites will be held at the Satyanagar cremation ground as per Covid guidelines.
Till now, a total of 3,634 persons have contracted the deadly virus. While 36 patients died of COVID-19, one died of diseases other than coronavirus.
