Bhubaneswar: A IPS officer serving in the Odisha Police has been sent on Central deputation. DIG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur, Himanshu Kumar Lal was sent on a four-year Central Deputation.
Lal will join to the grade of Director in the Class-I executive cadre of the Cabinet Secretariat.
In a notification, the Home Department said Lal is relieved of his duties to take up the new assignment at the Centre.
The notification further said Jai Narayan Pankaj, DIG of Police, STF, Bhubaneswar, will take charge as the DIG of Police, Northern range, Sambalpur from Lal.
