Nabarangpur: In a major success, the police busted an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit in Raighar area of Nabarangpur district on Saturday and arrested one person in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Raighar police station raided the house of one Sagram Lohara of Mandiabeda village in the morning today. During search, the police recovered and seized two wooden gun bodies with butt, six barrel pipes, six trigger sets, four safety catches, two hammers, two mobile phone keypads and other nut bolt equipment. Lohara was arrested and forwarded to the court later.
Umerkote SDPO Dinesh Chandra Nayak informed Raighar PS case no 127 dated 3.7.2021 u/s 25(1)(a) Arms Act 1959 has been registered at the police station.
