Kendrapara: At least five members of a family including a 20-day-old infant sustained critical burn injuries in a fire mishap at Girang village under Marshaghai police limits in Kendrapara district on Thursday night.
Though the exact reason behind what triggered the fire is still unknown, it suspected that someone intentionally set the house on fire as all the doors were found locked from outside.
As per reports, local villagers rescued all the five members of the family by breaking the skylight of the house.
The injured were initially rushed to Kendrapara hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their health condition showed signs of deterioration.
