Bhubaneswar: With the return of migrants from Surat in Gujarat the number of Corona virus cases are increasing. However, Odisha registered its highest spike in COVID-19 cases as 101 more persons tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, official sources said on Wednesday.
The fresh cases are from Ganjam (52), Balasore (33), Jajpur (7), Sundargarh (7) and Keonjhar (2), it said. The total number of cases in Odisha now stands at 538.
With this, the number of active cases in the state rose to 419 while 116 patients have recovered so far.
