Heritage corridor development work to resume in Puri, Bhubaneswar: CM

Bhubaneswar: Work related to heritage corridor development around Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri and Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar will resume from May 29, said Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday.
A decision in this regard was taken at a video conferencing meeting of the CM with the Chief Secretary and other concerned officials.
“We have had more than 2-month break due to COVID virus where all work was stopped. Now we must try to begin the work both in Puri and Bhubaneswar a day after tomorrow,” said Patnaik.
He also asked to follow social distancing guidelines during the work.
Worth mentioning, the state government had initiated the project around the two temples for beautification of the shrines and attracting more footfalls. Unauthorised structures around the temples were razed for the project work.
