Heavy rains likely in Odisha on June 10 due to low pressure

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall in some places of Odisha on June 10 due to possible formation of a low pressure over eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
The weathermen said Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khurda, Koraput and Nabarangapur districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall under the influence of a low pressure area which is likely to develop over the eastcentral Bay of Bengal on June 8. Light to moderate ranfall is likely to occur in other places of the state, they added.
At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over eastcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, the IMD said.
