Heatwave to continue in Odisha at least till tomorrow; Thunderstorm likely from April 20

Bhubaneswar: Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in Odisha at least till tomorrow, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted. Heat wave condition likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur and Boudh tomorrow, the Meteorological Centre predicted.
However, thunderstorm is likely to occur in several districts of Odisha from April 20 which may bring the much-needed respite from the scorching summer. Below is day-wise forecast regarding thunderstorm.
April 20: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri ,Koraput ,Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Nuapada.
April 21: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nuapada and Bolangir.
April 22: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jharsuguda.
Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 2 to 3 days and fall by 2 to 3°C thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature (day temperature) very likely to be 40°C and more and above normal by 2-3°C at many places over the districts of Odisha. Hot and humid weather condition very likely to prevail during the next 2 to 3 days at many places over the districts of Odisha.
