Group clash leaves 12 injured in Khurda

Khurda: A bloody clash broke out between two groups of people at Damanabhuin village under Jankia Police limits in Khurda district on Sunday night.

As many as 12 people from both the sides have sustained grievous injuries in the clash.

“Two groups clashed with stone pelting and hurling of bombs over past enmity. As many as five persons of one group and seven of another have sustained injuries in the scuffle. We have mobilised forces to the spot,” IIC, Jankia Police station.

Now, the situation is under control. A special team has been formed to nab them, the IIC added.

All the injured have been admitted to a local hospital.

Further investigation is underway, Lenka said.
