Group clash in Jajpur village; police vehicle torched

Dharmasala: Tension ran high in Bharatpur village under Balichandrapur police limits of Jajpur district when some miscreants torched a police vehicle on Saturday evening following a group clash.
The personnel of Balichandrapur police station went to the Bharatpur after receiving information about the group clash a few hours back. While the police team was assessing the situation in the village, some miscreants set the police vehicle on fire at around 7:30 PM.
Also, one policeman was injured in the attack carried out the miscreants. Till the filing of this report, no one was arrested in connection with the violence.
The local administration deployed three platoons of police force in the village to restore law and order.
Additinal Director General of Police, Law and Order Y K Jethwa said that the Superintendent of Police P R Rahul has reached the spot and taking stock of the situation. He stated at present the situation is under control and police deployed at the spot are maintaining law and order. The accused persons will be identified soon.
