Govt sets up four more COVID care facilities with 1441 beds

Bhubaneswar: In view of the rise in cases of COVID-19, Odisha Government has set up four more COVID care facilities with additional 1441 beds, informed Additional Chief Secretary of Health department, PK Mohapatra, on Saturday.
They include, Hitech Medical College Corona Care Centre with 500 beds, Jamujhari Corona Care Centre with 300 beds and Jatni Corona Care Centre with 500 beds under SUM Hospital & Medical College and Neelachal dedicated COVID Hospital with 131 beds including 15 ICU beds.
As 80 per cent cases are mild and asymptomatic, they can be treated at the Corona Care Centres which has all the facilities excluding ICU. Meanwhile, SUM and Hitech have been asked to increase the number of ICU beds in a week.
