Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Friday removed senior IAS officer Hemant Sharma, who is currently serving as the Principal Secretary of Industries Department with additional charge of MSME Department Principal Secretary, from COVID-19 related purchase job.
Sharma has been relieved from the charge of supervision of procurement of all essential pharmaceutical goods and other equipment required to tackle COVID-19 in the state, said a notification issued by General Administration and Public Grievance Department said.
“Sharma was allowed to assist Health and Family Welfare Department Principal Secretary in supervision of procurement of all essential pharmaceutical goods and availability of additional PPEs, masks and other critical care equipment for COVID-19 in the state. His additional charge related to procurement of COVID-19 equipment has been rescinded,” the notification read.
