Bhubaneswar: As economic activities are gradually resuming in the state with easing of lockdown, the state government has issued an advisory for workplaces to prevent spread of the deadly coronavirus.
“Though the pandemic situation continues, we have to work to save our livelihood. We advise you not to panic. Follow the workplace advisory to prevent COVID-19,” said the Health and Family Welfare Department in a tweet on Thursday.
Earlier in March, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena had issued an advisory for workplaces to prevent the highly-infectious disease.
The Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi on Wednesday said easing of lockdown does not mean the corona disappeared, it is still around. He called upon people to cooperate with the government in the fight against COVID-19 by properly adhering to the guidelines.
Directing police personnel to raise awareness on use of face masks by making public announcements, the CP warned that stricter action will be taken against COVID-19 violators.
