Five new COVID cases detected in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Out of the seven COVID-19 positive cases reported from Khurda district, five cases are from Bhubaneswat Municipal Corporation area.
Of the five patients, three were under home quarantine while remaining two are local contacts, informed BMC.
Details of the home quarantine cases :
• 1 case of Satya Nagar, near overbridge. 36-year-old male with travel history of Delhi
• 1 case of Nirankari Nagar, near Jaydev Vihar. A 22-year-old male IT professional with travel history of Delhi
• 1 case of Patia, Sree Vihar. 25-year-old female linked with earlier positive cases.
Details of local contacts:
• 1 case of Dumduma, HB Colony. 37-year-old male linked with earlier positive cases.
• 24-year-old male, a medical officer of Central Government Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
With this, the number of total positive cases in the state capital rose to 132, including 54 active and 74 recovered cases. And, three patients have succumbed to the virus.
