Bhubaneswar: Evaluation of answer sheets of candidates appeared for the annual Matriculation examination this year will begin from May 26. The School and Mass Education department in a letter gave go ahead to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Cuttack which conducts the annual HSC exam on Thursday.
Answer sheets of candidates who appeared in SOSC and Madhyama examinations will also be evaluated from May 26.
Worth mentioning, the evaluation process has been delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic and Cyclone Amphan in the state this year.
The School and Mass Education department directed the board to make arrangements as per the orders passed by the Orissa High Court in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the School and Mass Education department also asked District Collectors to nominate one Nodal Officer preferably an ORS Officer to supervise the logistic arrangements during evaluation process at the designated evaluation centres.
Earlier in the day, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said the results of HSC exam will be declared by July-end.
