Nuapada: An elderly man was killed after being hit by a train near Chelalendi village under Nuapada police limits in the district on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Rushunath Bemal (66). According to reports, he was returning home after attending nature’s call near the railway track this morning when a freight train hit him killing the elderly man on the spot.
The Government Railway Police recovered the body and handed it over to his family members after post-mortem.
