Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police has introduced ‘E-Pass’ system in order to facilitate movement of the employees of private company/organisations during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Odisha government has imposed restrictions on movement of people during the lockdown. However, private sector employees engaged in essential activities have been allowed to attend their offices with some conditions and restrictions, stated Commissionerate Police.
“A system has been developed to issue e-passes to the employees of the private companies within the restrictions of allowable percentage during the lockdown in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar,” said Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi.
The e-passes could be generated by visiting the website:https://cp.erp.quocent.com.
He further said that the e-pass should be carried along with the id card for getting permission from the police personnel near the check posts while going to office during the lockdown.
Commissionerate Police will also keep a data base about the private companies and organisations, the number of employees and nature of their work. The private companies and organisations could also issue authorisations to the individual employees, said Priyadarshi.
“The system has been developed to check movement of the violators roaming during the lockdown. More than 100 people have applied for e-passes within just two hours of its introduction,” he added.
