Berhampur: Mystery shrouds the death of woman, wife of a DSP in Ganjam district as her mutilated body was found on railway track near Gopalpur overbridge on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Sushama Pradhan, wife of Gajapati DSP Anil Pradhan. She was residing at Kalinga Vihar under Baidyanathpur police station in Berhampur.
According to reports, Sushama went out of her house last evening informing her family members that she was going to a nearby temple. However, she was found lying dead on the track today.
Government Railway Police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police is yet to be ascertained whether the woman committed suicide or died after being hit by a train.
