Bhadrak: A drunken man allegedly killed his wife as the latter did not give him mangoes to eat at Jalamandua village under Dhamnagar police station in Bhadrak district on Mondat. The police have detained the accused and are interrogating him in connection with the incident.
As per sources Kartika Jena of the village returned to the house in an inebriated condition last night and asked his wife Sasmita to give him mangoes to eat. However, the latter said their kids have eaten all mangoes . Irate over this, drunk Kartika started beating his wife with a bamboo plank killing her on the spot.
The police have registered a case in this connection and investigating into the matter.
