Bhubaneswar: A private dentist is among 45 persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar in the past 24 hours. Apart from the dentist, 11 staff of a Central government hospital under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) limits have also tested positive for coronavirus infection.
As per the data shared by I & PR department, Khurda district reported 59 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Of the 59 cases, 45 cases have been reported from the BMC area.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation officials informed that out of the 45 new COVID-19 cases, 35 persons were in quarantine while remaining 10 cases are local contact cases.
With this, the COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar reached 602 including 286 active cases. As many as 308 persons have recovered from COVID-19 in Bhubaneswar. Seven persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the smart city.
