Bhubaneswar: In what could be termed as a major blunder, Odisha Police on Tuesday issued a notification mentioning the transfer of a cop, who had died last year.
Deceased Subedar Kampal Naik, who was posted at the 7th SIR Battalion, Koraput, was transferred to the 5th Battalion, Baripada, as per the notification.
Realising the mistake, Odisha Police later issued a corrigendum mentioning about the cancellation of the transfer and termed it as a “typographical error”.
