Balasore: A man accused of several criminal offences allegedly hurled crude bombs at police in a bid to stop the entry of police personnel into his house and evade his arrest at Shyamraipur village in Remuna area of Balasore district on Sunday.
According to reports, a police team arrived at the village early this morning to apprehend Ishwar Mahalik over his alleged involvement in several crimes, including a recent loot.
However, he hurled liquor bottles, stones and crude bombs at the police to prevent their entry into the house. No one was injured in the incident.
Till last reports came in, he was yet to be arrested while cops had cordoned off his residence.
