Keonjhar: In view of ensuing Raja festival, the Keonjhar district administration on Wednesday banned any kind of congregation in the district from June 11 to 16.
Any kind of gathering for celebrations like Raja Doli, Mela, Mahostav and Feast etc and traditional games related to Raja Festival are strictly prohibited from June 11 to 16 in Keonjhar district.
The administration further stated sponsoring organisations for these type of gatherings should be strictly discouraged.
It added all essential shops including garments and stationery shops will be allowed to open at 7 am and close at 7 pm during this time period whereas other non-essential shops are allowed to open from 7 and 2 pm.
