Berhampur: In an unprecedented turn of events, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday joined a video conference to bless a newly-wed HIV positive couple in Gopalpur of Ganjam district.
Through video conference, the CM talked to the newlyweds and extended his best wishes on the occasion.
Wedding of the couple-Ravindra and Padma- was solemnized by Ganjam district administration at Gopalpur Shraddha Sanjivani Daycare Home. Earlier, the two were staying at the daycare home for their education in the district and currently doing their jobs in Hyderabad.
Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange was present at the event among others and performed the Kanyadaan ritual. He also presented a cheque money to the couple.
