Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will implement a major change in the timing for administration of COVID-19 vaccine to the persons of 18-44 age group as the first dose and second dose will be given during morning session and afternoon session, respectively in the city, said BMC Commissioner Sanjay Singh on Friday.
The civic body will issue a notification in this regard soon, the official said. Vaccination of persons belonging to 45+ age group will continue during the afternoon session.
Worth mentioning, those who received the 1st dose of vaccine in the city between May 3 and May 14 are being administered the second dose while the drive will continue till June 12. The new rules are likely to be implemented after June 12.
