Nayagarh: Busting a cattle trafficking racket, police detained seven trucks and two pickup vans carrying 88 cattle near Kantilo area of Khandapada in Nayagarh district on Friday.
The police have also arrested two persons and interrogating them in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and detained the vehicles near Kantilo while they were illegally smuggling the cattle to West Bengal.
Earlier this month, police had seized two pickup vans and rescued 25 cattle in Sultan Nagar locality under Choudwar Municipality in Cuttack district. The police had also detained a few youth in this connection.
