Boudh: A 29-year-old BJP member of Sialjhuli village under Kantamala police limits in Boudh district was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Friday. His mutilated body was recovered from Ambagaon locality this morning.
The deceased identified as Loknath Pradhan was an active member of the BJP’s youth wing.
Alleging foul play, Pradhan’s family stated that he had received a phone call from an unknown number on Thursday evening after which he went outside and did not return thereafter. When they called him up repeatedly, all calls went unanswered. This morning, some locals spotted a bruised and bloodied body and immediately informed Kantamala police.
Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. From the bruises, the cops assumed that Pradhan was hit with sharp weapons. Registering a case, the police have begun an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, members of BJP’s district wing have demanded a proper inquiry and immediate arrest of the culprits.
